Israel has authorised the construction of 3,000 more housing units in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank [in response to the UN vote to recognize Palestinian statehood]… It is also speeding up the processing of 1,000 planning permissions.
BBC. It is this aggressive imperial expansion by Israel is the driving force of the conflict. Rocket attacks and Palestinian terrorism are the result of expansion like this, and as long the expansion continues we won’t see an end to Israel’s ethnic cleansing.
